What is there that ought not be? How's about a real moderator? I'd nominate Tony Snow but he isn't currently available. Would anyone go for Dana Perino? How about Carly? One of the errors we inpute to the brainless (though large headed) Elephants is that they go defenseless into the Lion's Den-the Good Lord is not likely to avail them of any help. So, being brainless, the idea that having a democrat operative with a by line from a segment of society biased beyond redemption, would be a good choice for a "moderator" serves NO INTEREST to the Republican party though it may offer great benefits to its "establishment". As the great Erin Tuttle pointed out, the Money Power was behind Jeb, now is behind Rubio, but, still has a back up in Clinton. Americans don't have a back up. It is Trump or turning into France. If lighting struck or another Scalia-like murder took place, then Mr. Cruz would be acceptable to many who yearn for really intelligent people to serve (lest anyone panic, it turns out that Scalia used a CPAP, but on his last night on earth, he didn't).
